Videobet is thrilled to announce our new series, a retrospective of five films by legendary Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami (1987- 1997). A major figure of the Iranian New Wave, Kiarostami’s films of this era explore the concept of truth within – and relating to – his films tiptoeing the line between narrative fiction and documentary storytelling.

Starting from Where is the Friend’s House (1987), all the way to Palme d’Or winner Taste of Cherry (1997), this retrospective brings these beautiful films to audiences in Addis Ababa for the first time ever.
